What is RBI Assistant Recruitment?
RBI Assistant exam is conducted to select eligible candidates for the post of Assistant across its various branches in India. Selected candidates are initially posted in RBI’s office within the recruitment zone for which they had applied. However, they are liable to be transferred in administrative exigencies to centres grouped and classified into West, South, North, and East Zone offices in India. RBI Assistant is one of the most sought-after banking exams in the country. The selection process includes preliminary and mains exams followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

To be eligible for the exam, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, and nationality.
Candidates must be a citizen of India or,
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
The age of candidates should be between 20 and 28 years. Candidates born not earlier than 02/09/1995 and not later than 01/09/2003 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.
Age Relaxation
Relaxation in the upper age limit of five years will be provided to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) candidates, three years to OBC, 10 years to PWD, 10 years to widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married, five years to candidates domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989, etc.

Candidates must have completed graduation from any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent (pass class for SC/ST/PwD candidates). Candidates must have knowledge of computers.
Candidates should be proficient in the local language of the state/UT they are applying to. This means they must know to read, write, speak and understand the concerned language of the state/UT.
RBI ASSISTANT 2024 PAPER PATTERN
RBI Assistant exam pattern is such that it comprises three papers-English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The test paper carries a total of 100 questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. The time allotted to solve each section is 20 minutes. RBI Assistant exam pattern is given below.

Candidates who qualify the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. The mains exam carries questions based on Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The duration of the test is 135 minutes. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The test paper carries a total of 200 questions. The structure of the mains exam is given below.

Candidates qualifying the mains exam are required to undergo the language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test is conducted in the Official/Local Language of the state candidates have applied for. Candidates not proficient in the Official / Local Language are disqualified from the selection process. Therefore, candidates should be able to speak and write the language of the state they have appeared for.

RBI Assistant application form is released on the official website for the specified time period. Candidates can fill and submit the application form online. Any graduate applicants can apply for the exam. The steps to fill RBI Assistant application form are explained below:
RBI Assistant admit card is released online separately for the preliminary exam and mains exam. Candidates can download the RBI Assistant admit card for each stage online by logging with their registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. All registered candidates need to first appear in the preliminary exam. The test comprises a total of 100 questions and the total marks of the exam are 100. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the mains exam. RBI Assistant mains exam comprises a total of five sections, Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness, and Test of Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the test are 200 marks. Those qualifying the mains exam are called for Language Proficiency Test (LPT). LPT is conducted to test whether candidates can read, write, or speak the Local Language of the state/UT. Candidates who are not proficient in the local language are disqualified from the recruitment process.

The notification marks the beginning of the LIC recruitment process. LIC AAO notification is the most important document as it provides all the information regarding the important dates, eligibility criteria, age limit, exam centres and the likes. The candidates must read the official notification to get all the important details before filling the application form.
LIC Application link is activated after the release of notification. The candidates need to register on the official website and after registration, they can fill the application form. The candidates need to submit the application fee (according to their category) and submit the form.
LIC AAO Admit Card is released to all the registered candidates whose applications were accepted by the exam conducting authority. As per the notification, it is released ten days before the exam date
LIC AAO Exam is conducted online as the Computer Base Test (CBT). The exam is conducted at the national level at the designated exam centres. The candidates need to reach the exam centre one hour before the exam begins and follow all the instructions provided with the admit card.
LIC AAO Result is declared after the evaluation of all the exam copies. The LIC AAO Result is declared separately for each stage of the exam.
The candidates who qualify for the prelims exam are called for the LIC AAO Main Exam. It comprises two parts - objective and descriptive paper. Descriptive papers of only those candidates will be evaluated who qualify in the objective paper of the main examination.
The candidates who clear the main exam are called for the interview. The interviews are conducted at the designated offices of LIC. Along with the interview, the document verification process is also carried out.
After the interview, LIC releases the final result and call the candidates appointment.
